TTSH Charity Cycle 2018: Keep Going with ICH & NCID Teams at Novena Square

KOA(S) was TTSH Charity Cycle 2018’s Gold Partner. KOA(S) donated $10,000 for the event which saw 20 of our very own NCID & ICH staff participate with much eagerness. The donation will be channeled into the TTSH Community Fund that has supported “… over 100 patient-centred programmes” since its inception in Aug 1995. The Fund helps over 2,500 patient cases each year.

Hair for Hope 2018

The Hair for Hope 2018 was held at OBV Project on 25 May 2018 in support of the Children’s Cancer Foundation. In its 3rd year, we have exceeded last year’s record both in the number of “shavees” and the amount raised. Last year there were 77 shavees and more than $15,000.00 were raised. This year, more than 100 shavees participated with Mr Hiroshi Nakamura, OBV’s Project Director, leading the pack! As said, we have exceeded last year’s record where we were able to raise more than $20,000.00! Congrats and we thank everyone who made this event a great success!

Assisi Fun Day 2018 – CDL Group CEO Fundraising Challenge

Our staff participated in the fundraising challenge by CDL Group CEO in support of the Assisi Hospice. The fundraising event was held on 24 Jun 2018, Sunday, which also doubled as a Fun and Family Day where families were entertained by a host of programmes. KOA(S) donated $5,000.00 in support of the charity.

Bedok National Day Celebration 2018

Kajima sponsored a Premium Honorary Patron’s Table in support of our nation’s 53rd National Day Celebration. The event was organised by the Bedok Citizens' Consultative Committee. Mr Lim Swee Say, MP for East Coast GRC, was the Guest-of-Honour.

At the event, Mr Lim Chong Lai, GM, received a memento from Mr Lim Swee Say to recognise Kajima’s sponsorship.

SUTD Campus-in-Bloom Fundraising Drive 2018

SUTD Campus-in-Bloom Fundraising Drive was launched in celebration of Singapore’s 55 years of greening efforts led by the late founding Prime Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. Among many others, the aim of the campaign is to raise funds for bursaries and scholarships to support aspiring architects and engineers.

For donations above $8,000, a tree on campus was designated symbolising the strong foundational support the donation will provide in years to come. KOAS donated $8,000. Mr Haja Kamaludeen, Deputy General Manager (Contracts & Commercial), received the plaque on behalf of KOAS from Dr Mohd Maliki Osman, Senior Minister of State (Defence & Foreign Affairs), Mayor for South East CDC and MP for East Coast GRC who was the Guest-of-Honour.

Assisi Fun Day 2019

KOAS participated in Assisi Fun Day 2019 in support of Assisi Hospice.

By way of brief precis, Assisi Hospice “provides palliative care to patients with life-limiting illnesses”. Put simply and with utmost care and sympathies, patients under its care are near the end of their lives.

The Assisi Fun Day aimed to raise funds to support Assisi Hospice’s programmes that help patients have a better quality of life; and it is to this principled end that KOAS donated and participated.

Hair for Hope 2019

This year’s Hair for Hope happened at the ICH Project Site. A total 70 shaved their heads and more than $17,000 were raised for the Children’s Cancer Foundation.

Bedok National Day 2019 Celebrations Dinner

KOAS once again joined the National Day 2019 Celebrations Dinner organised by the Bedok Community Centre. KOAS sponsored a Premium Honorary Patron’s Table. The Dinner was attended by Bedok residents, friends and business partners. The Guest-of-Honour was Mr Lim Swee Say, Member of Parliament for East Coast GRC (Bedok).

SAF Day Combined Rededication Ceremony 2019 (CBD South Zone)

Surbana Jurong (SJ) organised the SAF Day CRC 2019 (CBD/South Zone). SJ organised this event for the first time. The event was well attended by over 40 companies. The event saw more than 100 NSmen/women take the SAF pledge.

“SJ recognises that a strong SAF is vital to our country's continued success, survival and pro-gress, being the vanguard for global Singapore companies like ours. It is only with the high-degree of SAF’s operational capability and readiness that Singapore and Singaporean companies can continue to grow harmoniously and be strengthened economically.”

The Guest-of-Honour at the event was Ms Indranee Rajah SC, Minister, Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for Education. The Certificate of Appreciation was received on behalf of KOAS by LTA(NS) Tan Kee Chuan, Senior Engineer, Woodleigh Project.
